HJ Fall Book Sale

Houseplants add beauty to any home décor while providing beneficial oxygen to the air we breathe. Learn more about it and how to expand plants making your own propagation box! Volunteer will be responsible for counting and greeting attendees and being a presence in the room.

Bring your old holiday cards and learn how to repurpose them into cute and easy holiday collages. Volunteer will greet and count attendees and be on-hand to assist program presenter with passing out materials, etc.

The annual Metrocrest Job Fair will take place at the Josey Ranch Lake Library on Wednesday, October 15th, from 3 to 5pm! Volunteers will be responsible for checking in job seekers and light set-up/take-down duties.

Meet the famous Hershey, therapy dog extraordinaire! This program allows children to read aloud to a trained therapy dog! Hershey's handler remains onsite and in the program. Volunteer is responsible for distributing tickets, letting patrons into the program, and communicating with dog handler.

Texas Chess Center will lead a fun and interactive chess program designed for tweens and teens. Volunteers are responsible for greeting attendees, collecting tickets, and assisting with the activity as needed.

Join Library staff and Denton County Master Gardeners for a morning at the Pocket Prairie! Volunteers are responsible for greeting attendees and assisting with the activity. Please note, this program is outdoors.

First Tech Challenge team 18270 RoboPlayers will be teaching participants the basics of building and coding a LEGO Spike robot. Volunteers are responsible for greeting attendees, collecting tickets, and assisting with the activity.
