The Office of Emergency Management administers the Carrollton Disaster Response Alliance (CDRA). This is a coalition of community organizations that volunteer to assist during a disaster. Participants can volunteer individually or as part of a group.
Carrollton Fire Rescue invites residents to join the Cardiac Arrest Rapid Engagement (CARE) Team and deliver AEDs to the scene of nearby cardiac arrest emergencies. Carrollton Fire Rescue recognizes the importance of working smoke detectors in residences in our community. The mission of the Smoke Detector Program is to provide no-charge installation of new smoke detectors to senior citizens and residents in lower income neighborhoods in Carrollton. This service is provided on a monthly basis depending on weather. Volunteers will be paired with CFR Prevention Division personnel to install smoke detectors. For more information, click here.
The Carrollton Citizen Patrol is administered by the Carrollton Police Department volunteer unit. Graduates of the Carrollton Citizen Policy Academy (CPA) are eligible to join the Citizen Patrol. For more information, click here.
